Black Button

Director: Lucas Crandles

Jeffery Roberts, the main character of this 7 minute short, is trapped in blankness. Where he is, what he is doing there,we don’t know anything and that makes it even more intriguing than it already was. Robert Grubb, who plays The man behind the desk adds up to all the eerie shit that is going down and is about to go down. He presents Jeffery with a choice between salvation and damnation. The consequences will depend on what he finally chooses. Whether he picks one or the other it should be simple for the people who are watching from a distance that they are not in a position to judge him, millions of people would do the same if put in his position.

He symbolizes a simple man and the weakness that they possess, and The Man Behind the Desk doesn’t help at all. It might sound a little confusing here but as you start watching Black Button things will start to become clearer.

Reel Value: 7.3/10
