Director: Ben Phelps
The story is about a Lebanese family of three who are travelling on a deserted road when they’re stopped by the soldiers at a Checkpoint. This 10 minute short presents the issues of racism and prejudice within the context of a gripping suspenseful drama.
Checkpoint has a simple plot but with some great writing and direction it becomes one of the memorable short films that will stay with you long after you’ve watched it. Plus, the cinematography this movie got will make some of the highly paid cinematographers of Hollywood take a few notes.
