Director: Irvine Allan
This 10 minute short film is all about the relevance it portrays about the drinking culture of UK back then and even now. A little girl is standing in pouring rain, soaking wet, waiting for his father who is drinking in some bar. We are kept guessing for who is the father with a general idea that he must be someone who can’t be liked easily. The film, throughout its runtime, is depressing and has a gloomy feeling to it with some excellent acting from Heather Keenan who plays the little girl.
Daddy’s girl won the Jury Award at the Cannes and was later released for the general audience.
