Sach – Ek Kinnar Katha
Some movies are for the commercial success, some for the coveted prestigious awards and some are made just for the love of film making, Sach is one such movie. The short 20 minute story depicts the true life of Kinners or eunuchs, as they are commonly known. It tries to show a side of them which many of us are not familiar with, why would we? Who ever tries to actually talk to them? Pulling up the windows on signals, calling them names and downgrading their existence is what many of us do and have been doing for as long as we remember. They are human beings, too and that’s what this movie tries to convey. It portrays them as sensitive, caring people and tries to remove the social stigma attached to them.
Shoba is the leader of a Kinner group, singing and dancing is what she does for the people having a newly born child. But she starves for the love of a child for herself. The movie tells the story of having unconditional love for someone.
