Director: Ben Tillett
When Ben Tillett narrates, you stop everything and pay attention. He binds the whole short film, with the chilling rhyming deep voice of his. Suckablood, for me, is entirely made by the power of words of the poem and the quality that it creates with it. This, coupled with the haunting visuals of an eerie manor house, the burning log fire, huge empty rooms and a grotesque looking, cruel stepmother, create the ingredients for this mini masterpiece.
This 7 minute short film is a gothic tale of a girl who likes to such her thumb like any other child of her age but her stepmother places a curse upon her that if doesn’t stop it, the Suchablood will come to get her.
If this short film can’t break your child’s sucking habit then nothing will.
