Director: Rodrigo Gudino, Vincent Marcone
This 2008 released 6 minute horror is widely considered to be the most original short film. Rodrigo Gudino who is famous for his unsettling take on things has taken the path he is comfortable with but the audience isn’t – they think they know what’s happening, whats it all about but that is not the case, surely.
The film is about a simple sepia-toned photograph of early 1930’s. That’s the entire movie. Whats so special about it? Everything. The camera focuses on different parts of the photograph giving everything a whole new perspective, changing the way viewer initially saw the picture and whatever he/she made of it. A simple photograph starts to become an entire tale of murder, kidnapping, and creepiness.
Don’t let this be one of those shorts that you watch and just think its not for you. It is. Multiple viewings might fix what people think about it after an initial sitting but trust me this will become of the memorable shorts for you.
